FW: Champion Schools In London

Dear Colleagues,

Fronter UK are looking for MLE Champion schools. Before you decide that you are too modest to put your school forward the prize for schools that are selected is free subscription to the MLE for the time your school acts as a champion. If you feel that your school is making good use of the MLE and you would be interested in becoming a champion school and would like me to recommend you to Fronter let me know.

I’ve copied the from Fronter below.

Subject: Champion Schools In London

Good Evening

London schools have been making use of the London MLE for 4 years now, many with significant success. During 2010 London pupils and teachers made a total of 29 million room visits within Fronter a 68% increase on 2009 and demonstrates that schools are starting to make us of the London MLE platform.

During 2011 we are hoping to encourage more schools to make greater use of Fronter and to understand the benefits that can be achieved for:

·         teaching and learning

·         school improvement

·         pupil engagement

·         saving money

To help us to do this we would like to establish a network of London MLE Champion schools who can work with us within their local areas to showcase good practice and support other local schools in making more use of Fronter.

We have recently been looking at the usage of Fronter across London and have identified your school as one that from the statistics is making significant use of Fronter and we would like to invite you to consider becoming a London MLE Champion School. In recognition of the support that you would be giving us we are offering to reduce the annual cost to your school by 50% (Secondary) / provide the London MLE for free to your school for the period in which you act as a Champion School.

I would really appreciate your input to who you feel would make a great champion school in your Local Authority. We would like to host an event in April at the Strand. We will select the schools next week( February 18th) . We will then send out a personnel invitation in March to host a Champion Meeting at The Strand office in April 2011.

Primary and Secondary- currently looking at Primary no fee Secondary pay 50% of their annual fee, looking at different cost currently

Your input as I mentioned I would really appreciate. If you could send me via email the schools you wish to nominate and an email address this would be most helpful

I look forward in hearing from you

Dear Colleagues,

I have been appointed as Adviser for ICT with effect from April 2011. Many thanks to those of you that have sent testimonials. They are very much appreciated. For the time being my plans to provide independent support have been put on hold.

I will of course maintain the flow of information about ICT through the mailing list.

King regards
